Caitlin
enters Junior Handling on a regular basis she has had some good
placing. At the Border Counties Hound Show in May she was awarded best
Junior Handler between the two groups which are six to eleven years old
and twelve to sixteen years old. Once judging was finished the judge came over to talk to us and advised us to enroll Caitlin into the Kennel Club's Young Kennel Club to help her improve her handling as she was very good. In May 2007 at the Scottish Kennel Club Championship Show she was placed fifth, I feel that she did very well as this was her first attempt at Junior Handling at a Championship Show. Caitlin took a break from junior handling as shw was unable to show Litha as she was expecting Puppies. |

Drew
and Caitlin entered the Pharaoh Hound show Junior Handling Classes.
Drew was a late entry as he had only decided on the way down to the
show that he would like to try his hand again at the show. I asked the
Secretary Barbara Brooker and she agreed. Drew was entered into the 6
to 11 year age class and he was awarded first place. Caitlin was
entered into the 12 to 16 age class and she was awarded first place. As
they had both handled Litha there was not a best junior handler
awarded. These classes were judged by Dominic Carota who had come over
from America to see his dog been shown and to attend the AGM of the
Pharaoh Hound Club which was held before the show. Both Drew and Caitlin said a thank you to Dominic and Barbara for allowing Drew to enter late. |
