About us

We have had dogs in our lives for the majority of our time together. We first became interested in Pharaoh Hounds when we saw  the Best of Breed at Crufts in 2003 on the television. We found out what breed it was and started our research using the internet.
We contacted the then secretary of the Pharaoh Hound club UK to ask if anyone was going to breed a litter. We were given some people to contact and they also informed us that they were going to breed soon.
We contacted some others and after asking round we rang back Nigel and Shelia Simm of the Ezhar Kennels and asked if we could be put onto their list for prospective owners of a puppy.

On 21st June their litter was born and they contacted us to let us know that the puppies had been born and we have got a puppy.
We went down to Linconshire to pick up our puppy she is called Ezhar Earthsummit of Rayempet pet name Litha. Our Border Collie adopted her and they cuddled up together.

In 2005 we found out that the dog we had seen at Crufts in 2003 was Ezhar Rough Quest at Lyncris pet name Jasmine. On the 19th January 2006 she whelped a litter of special puppies as the were only the second litter to be born using artificial insemination. In March on a very cold and snowy day we drove to Colne to pick up our puppy. He was picked by Shelia Simm as pick of the litter dogs and we gave him the name of Lyncris Sun King of Rayempet known as Rhade. He is doing well in his show career as is his sister who keeps beating him whenever they are up against each other, but then again nothing much has changed as she used to beat him when they were together. here we are picking our second dog up
